No, Clean remotes are not compatible with Blu Ray, DVD, VCR, TV/DVD or VCR/DVD/TV Combo units. TV only.

2. Do Clean Remotes work with In-room cable boxes?

Yes, If there is a cable box in each guest/patient/ residents room use Clean Remote CR1R or CR3BCB.

3. Do Clean Remotes work with LodgeNet or OnCommand Sonifi systems?

Yes, The Clean Remote CR2M will operate LodgeNet or OnCommand ,Sonifi systems?

4. Do Clean Remotes work with DirectTV or Dish Network?

Yes, Clean Remote will work with the DirectTV or Dish Network systems that operate from a Head-End ONLY. (If your current remote has the DirectTV or Dish Network logo on it, you do not have a Head-End system.)

5. Do I need to program in codes for my TV?

No, Clean Remotes instantly work all LG, Samsung and RCA* TVs with no setup at all. Easy One Touch, no-code setup for all other TV brands. (*RCA Hospitality and Healthcare TVs - One Touch setup for residential models)

6. I have multiple TVs of the same brand in one room; how do I prevent remote interference?

Use Clean Remote CRBCB-H for LG, Samsung, RCA, PDI, Philips & Zenith TVs. Important: The TV must be a healthcare grade TV with the Multi-Bed or Multi-Code Feature

Clean Remotes will work with over 300 TV brands both residential and commercial TVs including healthcare and hospitality models.

8. Can the Clean Remote be sprayed or wiped down with cleaning fluids or wipes?

Yes, the CDC recommends daily cleaning of high touch surfaces such as the TV Remote. This can be done with standard sanitizing products you already use when cleaning and sanitizing. Clean Remotes have been found to carry 99% less germs and bacteria in clinical studies even before being cleaned. This is possible due to the Clean Remotes sealed non-porous membrane surface which dramatically reduces the openings and crevices that harbor viruses and bacteria on standard remotes.

9. Do Clean Remotes require reprogramming after battery replacement?

No, once you set up a Clean Remote it will stay that way unless you purposely reprogram the remote for another TV.

10. Can Clean Remotes be re-programmed if I change TVs?

Yes, the remote can be re-programmed as many times as needed. Note: Due to 7-second delay built into remote programming system you don't have to worry about patient's or guest's accidentally changing programming.

11. Does this remote come with a cord or holder to secure it to the bed?

No, we have found that patients & guests want convenience. Cords can be encumbering. Also, the cord would create other places where bacteria could colonize which would defeat the purpose of the Clean Remote.

12. Does it interfere with any medical equipment?

No, due to the low frequency.

Our facility has nurse call pillow speaker remotes, Can we use Clean Remotes?

There is a very high possibility that your facility is already using standard remotes in some of their areas. The common but incorrect perception is that all rooms just have pillow remotes for use with the TV. In many locations throughout the facility standard remotes are often used for patient and guest convenience. NOTE: Normally you will need to involve maintenance, engineering or the nursing staff to find out the locations.

Older nurse call pillow remote units have been proven to have an 87% rate of bacterial contamination. Pillow remotes are in rooms for very long periods of time (sometimes years). They are nearly impossible to clean and disinfect because of the numerous cracks and crevices. If the Clean Remote is available most patients will use the Clean Remote when watching TV since they are used to hand held remotes. They will only use the nurse call system to call the staff rather than to constantly change TV channels. This will drastically cut down the frequency of touches on the nurse call systems, which often carry a high level of bacteria.
